Dele Momodu, the uncle of Sophia Momodu, has offered his thoughts on the custody dispute between Sophia and Davido.
He was taken aback by Davido’s petition seeking shared custody, given that their previous conversations had been about Davido’s wedding and reconnecting with his daughter.
According to Dele Momodu, the concerns were primarily about financial support, such as school tuition, housing, and a nanny’s salary.
He believes this circumstance is the result of Davido and Sophia’s lack of communication.
Dele Momodu underlined the importance of their daughter’s well-being and asked that Sophia’s request for shared accommodation costs and David’s contribution to her upkeep be taken into account.
He also mentioned instances when Sophia had given David access to their daughter and urged ongoing collaboration for the child’s welfare.

In other news, Ubi Franklin, a close colleague of Davido, has shared his thoughts on the ongoing custody fight between Davido and Sophia Momodu over their daughter, Imade.
Ubi Franklin, who is also a father, empathized with the difficulties of parenting, stating:
“Never judge a pain you have never been through. This fatherhood struggle is not easy, we pray for God’s blessings and strength.”
His reply implies that he recognizes the challenges that both parties may be experiencing and urges assistance rather than judgment.
Recall that the custody saga escalated with Sophia Adeleke’s counter Affidavit, after Davido initially tabled his Affidavit for their daughter’s custody some weeks ago.
Sophia Momodu’s lawyer added negligence regarding Davido’s late son into the Affidavit, forcing Davido to respond on X.
